Rep. Mike Johnson is the Speaker of the House. He is a conservative representing Louisiana’s 3rd Congressional District. He became Speaker in October 2023 after House Republicans ousted Rep. Kevin McCarthy and refused to appoint Rep. Jim Jordan.
